Pre-Purchase & Condition Survey
The Pre-Purchase & Condition Survey is a Visual and Technical Inspection of the vessel without dismantling which aims to determine the general condition of a vessel at the time of the expertise.
The Pre-Purchase & Condition Survey is a highly recommended survey when buying a new or used yacht.
The Survey Report may also be supplemented by an Evaluation of the Vessel established according to the market price and the cost of urgent work to be carried out before the final purchase of the vessel.
It is preferable for the good running of operations if static dockside tests are carried out first. However they can be done in a different order depending on the availability of the ship and the timing we have.
During the Pre-Purchase & Condition Survey, we proceed to the following steps:
1. Dockside Static Tests of the ship and visual checks of the following :
2. Inspection of the vessel on dry dock and Visual Control of the following:
3. Sea trial and control of the following points:
4. Control of the appearance and general maintenance of the ship:
The list of Controls is not exhaustive, it can be completed at the request of the mandate.
