Valuation Survey
The Valuation Survey is an inspection that aims to estimate the market value of the vessel according to the market and to determine its seaworthiness after examining the following points:
1 . Structural integrity of the vessel;
2. Proper functioning of firefighting and bilge systems;
3. Anchorage System;
4. Communication and Distress Systems;
5. Emergency procedures.
6. Vessel Maintenance History;
7. Visual inspection of the general condition of the vessel.
The list of Controls is not exhaustive, it can be supplemented at the request of the owner and/or the insurance.
The Valuation Survey report allows your insurance to obtain an estimate of the market value of your vessel the day of the inspection .
We recommend that you carry out this expertise if no Pre-Purchase Survey has been made.
Also it is advisable to regularly re-evaluate your vessel especially following important works (engine change, new paint ...).
IMPORTANT : A Valuation Survey Report is Not a full examination of the vessel, it does not replace in any case a Pre-Purchase Survey Report which covers all aspects of the vessel.
